The Duke of York Checks Out Youneeq At BCIC Tech Conference
Victoria, BC, May 18, 2013 — Recently, Youneeq staff had the pleasure of meeting his Royal Highness Prince Andrew, The Duke of York, at the Royal Reception for BC Startups and Accelerators in Vancouver, BC. The conference allowed the Youneeq team to demonstrate the Youneeq Personalization Engine to the Prince and discuss potential business opportunities overseas.
“For Youneeq, this was an important opportunity,” said CEO Murray Galbraith. “Prince Andrew is a high profile, self-proclaimed techie and advocate of London’s high tech sector. He was enthusiastic about our product, and provided us with some rewarding strategic advice.”
Mike Lally, Chief Architect of Youneeq, personally demonstrated the Engine to Prince Andrew, and Galbraith also spoke to the Prince and staff about implementing a Youneeq office in Europe, preferably in London.
Youneeq was selected to attend amongst a handful of recipients by the BC Innovation Council, which held the event on Friday, May 17th, 2013 at the Vancouver Conference Centre.
